Te Tuhi is proud to present one of two collaborative performances between Copenhagen based artist Søren Dahlgaard and Auckland based artist Mark Harvey. The first performance will take place at Te Tuhi on Saturday 17 November at 2pm and the second at St Paul St Gallery on Friday 23 November at 6pm. Through the collaboration, Dahlgaard and Harvey combine their enquiries of humour and risk to push the limits of social conduct.

In Gaphoomph, the artists test the social limits of Te Tuhi's foyer space. Resembling a type of jousting match, they will use various media, their own physical strength, agility and probably some accidents to act out notions of playing-the-fool. In doing so, their actions will investigate conventions of safety and 'civilised behaviour' in an art gallery and public context.

Documentation of Gaphoomph will be on display at Te Tuhi until 10 February 2013.

All exhibitions are currently offsite due to disruptions caused by the Pakuranga Eastern Busway construction. The building remains open for classes and other activities. 21 William Roberts Road, Pakuranga, is the best address to enter into navigation apps to guide you to the free parking at our door.
