Te Tuhi school programme
Schools can visit the gallery to participate in a workshop programme that includes hands-on learning experiences in the art studio paired with educator-led tours of Te Tuhi’s current exhibition. Most programmes are free.

O Wairoa Marae school programme
The marae, situated on the grounds of Emilia Maud Nixon’s Garden of Memories nestled amongst the beautiful gardens & native bush, offers cultural & history experiences.  This programme supports the current changes in the curriculum.

To choose the best fit for your class, explore our workshops on offer and consider visiting both sites to build and support your students learning.

The gallery is currently closed for install but our café is open 9am–2pm, Monday–Saturday.

Our next exhibition Huarere: Weather Eye, Weather Ear opens on 4 June 2023.
