Youth Space at Botany Town Centre
Whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to study, a cozy nook to socialise, a creative area to express yourself, or a zone for games and entertainment, Te Tuhi’s youth space in Botany Town Centre has got you covered. Our doors are open seven days a week.

The youth space is a Te Tuhi programme, generously funded by the Howick Local Board and supported by Botany Town Centre and the Howick Youth Council.

Young Creatives

Te Tuhi Young Creatives is a long-term, peer-led youth programme that aims to engage young people in the world of contemporary art.

The Young Creatives programme seeks to increase the diversity of the sector’s artists, arts professionals and audiences, through working directly with young people. Participants do not need to be keen artists or academic high achievers; the programme encourages young people to develop creative agency, and a sense of ownership in contemporary art and galleries.

The Te Tuhi Young Creatives was piloted in 2018 with a group of students from Te Kura Māori o Ngā Tapuwae. In 2019 Te Tuhi partnered with Youth Horizons to work with a group of rangatahi in out-of-home care. For more about our past projects, visit here.

The programme will continue to incorporate long-term, peer-led projects within established youth settings across Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. To support Te Tuhi Young Creatives, visit here.
