Learning outcomes
Visual arts, levels 1–4
Understanding the arts in context
During this programme we will learn about printmaking and artists who make art inspired by many different things in their country.
Developing ideas
During this programme we will be inspired by printmaking and artists inspired by their country. This will help us think about our home and country and things that may inspire us to make an artwork about it.
Developing practical knowledge
During our pre-visit lessons we will learn about the different steps in printmaking and the kinds of materials and tools that are used. We will also use a variety of art materials while making our artwork at Te Tuhi.
Communicating and interpreting
During our visit we will share our ideas and thoughts about the art we see and make. We will listen to how others have created their art.
Social sciences
Identity, culture and organisation / place and environment
During the pre-visit exercises students will have the opportunity to learn and think about their community, home and country and the relationship they have with their community, home and country.
