Everyone is welcome to take part in Picnic Reading on Saturdays during the Permission Slip exhibition at soft shell. Each Picnic Reading will centre on a text or activity suggested by a Permission Slip artist.

The content will vary each week, but most Picnic Readings will take place on Groundsheets / Daybeds by Raewyn Martyn, which the reading group will carry and set up together in a weather-appropriate location near the gallery.

If the weather is good, the Picnic Reading will depart from soft shell by 11:05am and return around midday. Soft shell will be closed while we are out. If the weather is bad, the Picnic Reading will happen inside.

Feel free to stay on (or join in) afterwards at the gallery for shared lunch and social digestion of the content.

Please note:
→ Event updates will be shared in-gallery and on Instagram via @soft_shell_parnell.
→ Some Picnic Reading walks involve slopes and/or uneven ground, and sitting on a low surface. Please bring appropriate footwear, and a cushion if you need it.
→ If you would like to check in about access, please contact jordan@tetuhi.com or @soft_shell_parnell on Instagram.
→ RVSPs are not required, but always appreciated.

Permission Slip features work by Adam Ben-Dror, Xin Cheng, Raewyn Martyn, and Aya Yamashita Francis.
