For the Te Tuhi Project Space Auckland based artist Rob Gardiner has created a spatial drawing to be walked through and experienced. Here the artist uses found common materials and the shadows they cast to act as drawn lines in the given architecture. In this work Gardiner continues his enquiry into the deconstruction of painting. In this sense, the current installation could be understood as an abstract painting pulled apart to occupy physical space. The work, therefore, creates a spatial experience and also references contemporary developments in painting.

All exhibitions are currently offsite due to disruptions caused by the Pakuranga Eastern Busway construction. The building remains open for classes and other activities. 21 William Roberts Road, Pakuranga, is the best address to enter into navigation apps to guide you to the free parking at our door.
