‘The theatre is... inseparable from its stage sets, its models, the experience of every combination, and the stage is reduced to the artisan’s or scientist’s worktable. It is experimental as science is experimental, but it casts its peculiar spell on every experiment. Inside the theatre nothing can be accidental, yet nothing can be permanently resolved either.’ - Aldo Rossi
