Te Tuhi is proud to present the Celebrating Culture Pop-Up, a vibrant two-week programme celebrating the rich cultural diversity of East Auckland through creativity, connection, and community.
During the September/October school holidays, the Celebrating Culture Pop-Up transforms the pavilion at Botany Town Centre into a welcoming cultural destination where people of all ages can participate in free workshops, performances, demonstrations, storytelling, music, dance, and hands-on creative experiences.
Working alongside local artists, cultural practitioners, and community organisations, the Celebrating Culture Pop-Up offers opportunities to explore traditions, learn new skills, share stories, and celebrate the cultures that make our communities unique.
Visitors are invited to contribute to collaborative artworks, share their cultural connections on our interactive world map, and enjoy an exciting programme of free daily activities throughout the two weeks.
Join us for the Opening Celebration on Saturday 26 September, featuring live performances, family activities, and creative experiences that showcase the incredible talent and diversity of East Auckland.
→ Access to all the events and workshops is free, but we kindly ask you to RSVP through Eventbrite. Click here to view the full programme and book your free tickets.
The Celebrating Culture Pop-Up is a Te Tuhi initiative, generously funded by the Howick Local Board and supported by Botany Town Centre.
