With support from Te Tuhi, Italian researcher Anna Castelli is welcomed in Hamilton by Te Whare Taonga o Waikato Museum & Gallery for a kōrero titled Contemporary Artists and Transformation in Museums.
Anna explores the ongoing transformation of anthropological and ethnographic museums across Europe. Central to this conversation is the pivotal role contemporary artists play in driving these changes.
By delving into specific examples of how artists have collaborated with museums—whether through exhibitions, installations, or community-driven projects—we can gain a deeper understanding of how these partnerships contribute to reshaping the museum landscape.
