We’re happy to share some long-awaited news: Te Tuhi reopens its building on Monday 9 February 2026, marking the end of a short pause and a big refresh. Grounded in gratitude and focused firmly on the future, our return marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Te Tuhi – with refreshed spaces, renewed purpose, and a new season of ambitious contemporary art.
This is a soft opening – a welcoming return that prioritises reconnection, care, and getting back into rhythm. It reflects Te Tuhi’s values of accessibility and community: not about fanfare, but about being back together and moving forward with intention.
After unexpected flooding, months of repair, and a full building refresh, this homecoming signals continuity, resilience, and renewal. From brighter galleries and a reimagined foyer to upgraded classrooms, community spaces, and a new archive room, every corner has been redesigned with artists and audiences in mind.
From Monday 9 February 2026, the full Te Tuhi building will be open, including:
→ Public and community spaces
→ Studios and meeting rooms
→ Venue hire spaces (bookings now open: venuehire@tetuhi.art)
→ Fei’s Blossom Café and Floral Shop, open Monday–Sunday.
We’re deeply grateful for the patience, generosity, and belief of our community, alongside the support of our board, builders, partners, and the Te Tuhi team, which enabled a thoughtful recovery and a strong return.
