‘Through the act of rowing I am interested in moving into the future by maintaining a connection with the past oceanic mobility of indigenous Pacific people.’
− Cora-Allan Wickliffe

Artist Cora-Allan Wickliffe will be sweating it out on a rowing machine to clock up kilometres for her collaborative work Electric Waka. In late 2013, she made an open call to people of Māori and Pacific Island descent to contribute to Electric Waka by rowing a portion of 7,000 km, to match the distance between Hawaiʻi and Aotearoa.

All exhibitions are currently offsite due to disruptions caused by the Pakuranga Eastern Busway construction. The building remains open for classes and other activities. 21 William Roberts Road, Pakuranga, is the best address to enter into navigation apps to guide you to the free parking at our door.
