In the Fisher Gallery this month is the work of two Wellington based artists. The first is Lauren Lysaght with her installation Outcomes. It comprises of around 50 cardboard tombstones. They hold the slogans ‘user pays’, ‘dobbed in’, and most contentiously ‘thank you for your allegation’.

Lysaght says ‘living in Wellington makes one incredibly aware of politics and how policy directly affects people.’ Lauren Lysaght works and creates on the side of injustice. In this mock-up of a neon cemetery, the artist acknowledges the unequal, ignored, invisible and dismissed.
