YOU LOVE MY FRESH is a joint venture between Te Tuhi Centre for the Arts and Fresh Gallery Ōtara. Te Tuhi invited Ema Tavola, Pacific Arts Co-ordinator for Manukau City Council and current Manager of Fresh Gallery Ōtara, to curate the project with a view to form an ongoing relationship between the public galleries.

Born and raised in Manukau City, Tanu Gago holds a Bachelor of Screen and Performing Arts in Directing for Film and Television. He employs the conventions of cinema and film making to explore issues of authorship and representation, illustrating the complexity and diversity of Samoan experience in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Tanu Gago would like to thank and acknowledge Julie McCormick, Quincy Ray Filiga, Dominic Fryer, Aidan Manchester, Kosi Sutherland, Leilani Kake, Rebecca Ann Hobbs, Dionne Fonoti, Annie Ng Chok, Elyssia Wilson-Heti, St Lukes Samoan Presbyterian Church Youth Group, Lise Filiga, Faimalo Sauilemau Sam Filiga, Lipena Filiga, Daniel Baker, John Palamo, Mushroom Recordings, Ōtara Music Arts Centre (OMAC) and Ōtāhuhu College.

Te Tuhi is open as usual during the Eastern Busway construction. 21 William Roberts Road, Pakuranga, is the best address to enter into navigation apps to guide you to the free parking at our door. Please call us on (09) 577 0138 if you have any questions.
