Wonleka's Way

Artists and sisters Roseanne and Jacqui Kenny share a love of painting and expression of ideas, which they show to the world in their exhibition, Wonleka's Way. The exhibition is of twelve painted works of an invented character, Wonleka. Roseanne and Jacqui are local artists and live in Howick.

The works are each a stylistic portrait of Wonleka and her activities. The artists say ‘Wonleka is a light-hearted perspective on our thoughts of women and all their beauty. The beauty of form, movements, thoughts unknown and use of colours in these paintings are all elements used to portray Wonleka and her ways.’

Roseanne has a Bachelor of Graphic Design and Jacqui is a freelance illustrator with a background in design and a passion for art. Both women work as website creators, and started painting together as a weekend hobby.
