Studio flash lighting workshop

Papatūnga invites expressions of interest from artists to participate in a second lighting workshop with cinematographer Ralph Brown which will focus on flash lighting for stills photography. This workshop is best suited to people with a good basic camera knowledge who are looking to learn professional studio flash.
Ralph Brown is a stills and moving image photographer who has worked in the arts and creative sectors in Aotearoa for ten years. While operating as a commercial photographer, DoP and videographer, Ralph has also built collaborative relationships with a number of artists and artist collectives, working across visual, dance and theatre mediums.

Time: 10am–2.30pm, Saturday 26 August
Location: Lot23, Eden Terrace, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland

Lighting for video workshop

Tāmaki Makaurau-based cinematographer Ralph Brown hosted a lighting workshop as an introduction to professional studio and mixed lighting skills. The full-day's workshop involved exploring different lighting techniques, including studio lighting, colour grading and editing.
Ralph is a stills and moving image photographer who has worked in the arts and creative sectors in Aotearoa for ten years. While operating as a commercial photographer, DoP and videographer, Ralph has also built collaborative relationships with a number of artists and artist collectives, working across visual, dance and theatre mediums.
The workshop was held at Te Tuhi's Parnell Project Space, Parnell Station.
