Placeholder are building a community-owned soundsystem which aims to extend the potential of the underground music scene, & emphasize access, education, interconnectedness and experimentation.
For placeholder’s third fundraising event, and for Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa | NZ Music Month 2026, they will turn towards the realm of live-produced experimental ambience and textures, departing from the visceral pace of the club and entering a space of relaxed listening, connection and contemplation. Placeholder presents three artists offering unique and inquisitive sound scapes and compositions: Bay Fourteen, Fern, and BJ Leo.
