What a thrill, WHAT A SUCCESS!! was the first public exhibition of the artist and sibling duo Qianye Lin and Qianhe ‘AL’ Lin. The one-night installation included three moving-image works, a sculpture, and an original poetic text by AL Lin inscribed in Mandarin on the gallery walls, which was performed aloud by Qianye Lin. Through incorporating found footage, poetry and various storytelling techniques, What a thrill, WHAT A SUCCESS!! presents the embodiment of a fragmented linguistic experience, disrupting notions of language, translation and the linear progression of time.
