‘In the Readymade tradition these works are hybrids of the found and the contrived. Held up in a rarefied atmosphere of the art gallery they are preserved as art objects. Here, the represent the notion of art itself.’
- Michael Hight
The Quick Brown Fox is a site specific work produced especially for the Fisher Gallery.
As an early career artist, Hight has a considerable reputation for his typically neo-expressionist work. After studying at Waikato University from 1980-1983, he spent two years in London, and began exhibiting there.
