Contemporary Painting with Andrew Barns-Graham
This class is for beginners through to advanced painters wishing to work on their own painting projects in acrylic or oil. There is no set curriculum: students work independently and receive personalised mentoring from the tutor in each class.
Andrew Barns-Graham is a full-time practising artist and a graduate of Elam School of Fine Arts. Barns-Graham is a Wallace Art Award finalist, and his work has been featured in many publications including New Zealand’s Favourite Painters (2006).

Pencil drawing with a splash of colour with Toni Mosley
This four-week course will give the student the chance to explore pencil drawing techniques, using pencils to create interesting and expressive compositions along with colour to enhance the work. Please bring a pad of A3 drawing paper and any pencils you have on hand. Some materials will be available to add colour to the work.
Toni Mosley is an artist specialising in printmaking, with a Master of Fine Arts from The State University of New York in Buffalo. Originally from Colorado and Wyoming, she has exhibited in Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally. Mosley’s work is held in many private and public collections.

Annex Jewellery Studio with Sarah Walker-Holt
Dedicated to jewellery making, Annex is a nurturing space for contemporary jewellery practice in south-east Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Annex aims to support practitioners, as well as encouraging new makers through providing education, networking opportunities, and access to tools and equipment. Social Painting is an untutored, drop-in-style class for self-motivated students who are confident working without guidance. This class provides a supportive and social environment for artists developing their own practice. All levels of painting experience are welcome. Each class is $5 and students must bring their own materials.
