Annex jewellery studio

Annex jewellery studio is a contemporary jewellery studio that has evolved from a merging partnership between Sarah Walker-Holt, Renee Bevan and Te Tuhi. The studio is located onsite at Te Tuhi.

This dedicated jewellery space aims to provide a nurturing and passionate space for ongoing contemporary jewellery practice within south-east Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Annex aims to support existing practitioners, as well as encouraging new makers through education, networking and access to tools and equipment.  

About the tutor 

Sarah Walker-Holt completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts at The University of Auckland’s Manukau School of Visual Arts in 2010, where she received numerous prizes, including the Fingers Graduating Students Award. In 2011, she went on to win the New Zealand Contemporary Jewellery Award. Walker-Holt has exhibited both nationally and internationally, and was featured in The Dowse Art Museum’s travelling show Wunderrūma: New Zealand Jewellery (2014). In 2014–15 she was mentored by Helen Britton as a participant of Handshake 2: Prentice and Prodigy. She was successively selected for Handshake 3 in 2016–17 and Handshake 5 in 2019.
