Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Wharekai o Te Tuhi for our first ever Christmas Market, hosted by Te Tuhi Café and Rescare Homes Trust!

Stallholders include Te Tuhi, who will be selling their publications with special discounts on the day. Also at the market will be The Lucy Foundation, with their special 'Social Gifting' gift boxes, with products from four enterprises with a heart for disability rights: Mummy’s Yummys Homebaking, Downlights, Our Harvest and The Lucy Foundation.

While you are here, you can check out Te Tuhi’s summer exhibitions: Darcell Apelu’s A Death of Prosperity occupies the foyer space and will be the centrepiece of the market. Our project wall presents Claudia Kogachi’s tufted rugs, Obaachan during the lockdown, Wahiawā, Hawaiʻi, and our billboards feature Ana Iti’s new work Kimihia te āhua.

Most stallholders will be accepting cash only.

Te Tuhi Café is Aotearoa’s first training café for people with intellectual disabilities, run in partnership with Rescare Homes Trust and The University of Auckland. Our kawhe is proudly supplied by The Lucy Foundation. To learn more about the project and to support, visit here

All exhibitions are currently offsite due to disruptions caused by the Pakuranga Eastern Busway construction. The building remains open for classes and other activities. 21 William Roberts Road, Pakuranga, is the best address to enter into navigation apps to guide you to the free parking at our door.
