Cairo Walker:
In the Cut

Mark-making (drawing)... Abstraction (a form that will elicit an open response); and a desire to make a genuine interest in fashion into something more than (just) an expensive habit are the drivers behind In the Cut.

Current fashion trends are abstracted in a way that renders previous notions of privilege between culture, fashion and society irrelevant. Here fashion and art are concurrently origination and destination.

Hung from the ceiling ‘bolts of art’ are displayed on the roll... and sold by the metre.

All exhibitions are currently offsite due to disruptions caused by the Pakuranga Eastern Busway construction. The building remains open for classes and other activities. 21 William Roberts Road, Pakuranga, is the best address to enter into navigation apps to guide you to the free parking at our door.
