This exhibition incorporates curtains, wall hangings, knee rugs and quilts, numbering up to twenty works, dating from 1980 to the present. Some of the works are for sale.
Harrison challenges the preconceived conceptions of quiltmaking but still works within the traditions. Recently he has moved beyond the used of cotton, replacing it with manmade elements. His subject matter includes such titles as ‘Man with Kite’, ‘Lady Harwarden Room 1’, and ‘The Burton Brothers’, to more traditional images or patterns.
