Join us in celebrating the launch of the Chez Derriere and Te Tuhi publication, Snacks on Wednesday 6 December from 6-8pm at Chez Derriere, Parnell Train Station.
Snacks is a collection of short, salty and sweet art essays and texts from 12 participants in the Chez Derriere art writing programme, hosted by Felixe Laing from November 2022 to July 2023.
Snacks collates 12 new writers' perspectives and diverse styles on topics such as the place of the personal essay in art writing, being disappointed and disrupted by weather, how artists should engage with materials from the natural world, and exploring collaborative, artistic partnerships with AI and te taiao.
This will be the last event at Chez Derriere, so let's celebrate the end of the year and the programme by eating snacks and reading Snacks! Everyone is welcome.
