Huarere: Weather Eye, Weather Ear Screening Programme presents a series of new works at Te Tuhi as part of the World Weather Network. Curated by Janine Randerson, the screening programme features the five latest sound and video commissions from three artists:
Ocean Rain Parts I and II, by Jae Hoon Lee (video, 2 min 27 sec; video, 6 min 50 sec).
Jae Hoon Lee has created two films featuring live weathers and simulated weathers. His new video premiered on 31 May, featuring a virtual geological form rising from the ocean. This work compliments his first weatherscape that documents a physical location on the coast of Taiwan (one ancestral homeland of Moana peoples).

Ka Tangi te Kārearea a te Rangi Uaheke, by Riki Pirihi (video, 5 min 23 sec).
Ka Tangi te Kārearea a te Rangi Uaheke is a solo percussion performance by multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, and sound artist Riki Pirihi (Ngāti Wai, Ngāti Māhanga Hourua) recorded at the summit of Moe-i-te-rā (Brooklyn Hill) in Te Whanganui a-Tara Wellington.

Tūhononga (Cluster and Connection) Parts I and II, by Tia Barrett (video, 4min 15 sec; video, 5 min 01 sec).
In two parts, through walks, videos, and community dialogues, Barrett explores the question: "what pūrākau (stories) from our past can we draw upon to benefit the future of our whenua (land)? And how can toi Māori (Māori arts) serve as a means to translate this message into action?".
